We construct custom made, panel buildings to meet with and exceed current building regulations. We only use sustainable or recycled material in the superstructure. All of our commercial buildings comply with building regs. and the Disability Discrimination Act.
If you are just at the beginning of the project then we can put you in touch with independent architects who are familiar with our construction methods otherwise we can work to your design. All of our buildings are custom made.
Our buildings are extremely energy efficient (wall u-value is 0.19) and typically have low running costs. Use of water recycling, ground and air sourced heat pumps, solar panels etc can all be used on our buildings.
The materials we use include wood fibre insulation and FSC timber. As standard we use Fermacell boarding on the inside which is recycled paper and gypsum. This is a durable material and well suited for commercial use. Externally we can use timber (a wide variety including larch, cedar and pine) or we can attach Powerboard and render onto this as a final surface. We can also use brick slips or full bricks. The majority of our commercial buildings have zoned underfloor heating using air source heat pumps. . The roofs can be covered in a range of materials from felt to sedum. All timber is from certified sustainable sources.
Erected quickly - Prefabrication means that site costs, time and inconvenience are minimised. As our buildings are largely manufactured off site, movements and their effect on the local environment are significantly reduced. Typically a 120m2 building can be delivered to site in only two lorry movements. All of the windows come pre fitted, taped and jointed
Roughly 65% of the cost of comparable conventional buildings.
Our fabrication method provides natural air flow and humidity regulation through the walls
Our construction method, being a "dry" build, means less disruption on site and reduced landscape damage.
Once the building is ordered it usually takes 9 to 12 weeks to manufacture. Multiple orders take about 6 weeks thereafter. The building will then arrive in articulated lorries, offloaded directly onto pre prepared foundations. For a relatively simple single storey, stand alone building we would aim (depending on the complexity) to have the building watertight within a matter of days and completed and ready for occupation within 5 - 7 weeks.
Please note that the timelines vary depending when the building is ordered and the complexity of the structure.
